  • Dr. Laura Shepherd

    General Dentist

    Dr. Laura Shepherd is a Halifax native, happy to be home after years of living and working away! Having completed her BSc at Saint Mary's University, Dr. Shepherd travelled to Ireland to complete her Dental degree at the University College Cork. She enjoys all areas of dentistry, with particular interest in root canal therapy and cosmetics, including Invisalign and early orthodontic intervention. She is committed to continuing education to stay up to date with the latest techniques and technologies in order to provide her patients with the best and most comprehensive oral care.

    Being aware of the many fears and anxieties surrounding dental treatment, Dr. Shepherd is certified to administer oral and nitrous oxide sedation to all ages in order to make patient's dental appointments more comfortable.

    Outside of the office, Dr. Shepherd enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her Goldendoodle Clover. She loves to travel and is a fantastic baker!

  • Dr. Mo Atwi

    General Dentist

    Dr. Mo Atwi graduated from Dalhousie University where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree. Dr. Atwi enjoys and is passionate about all aspects of general dentistry. He strives to provide the best possible treatment outcome for his patients through continued expansion and advancement in his knowledge and skills.

    Dr. Atwi is fluent in both Arabic and English providing for good communication with his patients. It is his priority to show compassion and open mindeness, leading his patients to be more comfortable and relaxed.

    In his spare time, Dr. Atwi enjoys spending time with his family, hiking and enjoying the beautiful scenery that Nova Scotia has to offer. Dr. Atwi welcomes new patients and families and is excited to provide his services in assisting the community.

  • Dr J. C. Kaiser

    General Dentist

    Dr J. C. Kaiser is from Cape Breton, where he grew up in the beautiful town of Baddeck. Upon completing his BSc at Dalhousie University, he travelled to Australia to complete his dentistry degree at Griffith University, Queensland.

    As a dentist who enjoys every aspect of the profession, Dr. Kaiser also takes every opportunity to engage in continuing education and loves getting to know his patients and their families. Dr. Kaiser is a member of the Nova Scotia Dental Association and Canadian Dental Association.

    Outside of dentistry, he enjoys cycling, travelling with his fiancée Mari, golfing and spending time with friends and family.

  • Dr. Michael Reno

    General Dentist

    Dr. Michael Reno was born and raised in Halifax, N.S, and is very excited to be joining the Gladstone Dental Centre with the ambition to educate and provide dental services to his community. Dr. Reno started his education earning a BSc in Physics at Mount Allison University and a Masters in Medical Physics at Dalhousie University. He later decided dentistry was his passion and perused his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Dalhousie University.

    Dr. Reno enjoys all aspects of dentistry including restorative dentistry. Dr. Reno has been coined as a social butterfly by his peers and loves engaging and getting to know his patients.

    Outside of the workplace, Dr. Reno enjoys going to trivia nights, video games, spending time at his cottage with his family in Hubbards, and bonding with his pug Penny.

    Dr. Reno is happily and eagerly accepting new patients.
